Building a Computer is Not As Hard As You Thought it Would Be
If you have ever ventured into the PC-Building world, you might have heard the following phrase — “It’s like legos, but for adults!” And while spending upwards of several hundred or even thousands of dollars/euros/etc. on PC parts can absolutely give you the what-if-I-break-its, the process is actually rather simple and stress-free (unless you actually end up breaking something of course). In this article, I will break down the what, why, and how of the PC-Building World, and hopefully convince you it actually might be worth it.
What does building a PC actually consist of?
Well, to be blunt, it is exactly like it sounds. You buy a bunch of parts, you make sure they are compatible with the other parts, you make sure they fit into the case, you plug all the cables into the right connections, and then you turn it on!
To break it down a little bit more, each computer, at its core, typically has the following parts: Case, Motherboard, Processor (CPU), Graphics Card (GPU), RAM, Storage Device, Cooling (case fans, CPU fans), Power Supply, Monitor, Operating System, Mouse, and finally Keyboard.
